The „Heart Rate Zone Training“ datafield shows graphically the percentage of time your heart rate is in 1 to 5 heart rate zones defined by Garmin.

You can see the intensity of your training at a glance from the lower „%thz“ arc (= % time in heart rate zone) and adapt it if necessary. The upper „bpm“ arc (= beats per minute) shows the current heartrate. Big fonts show elapsed time (top), current heart rate (center) and elapsed distance in km (bottom). 
Each heart rate zone has its color (zone 1 = gray, zone 2 = blue, zone 3 = green, zone 4 = yellow, zone 5 = red).
Precondition: Your heart rate zones must be defined in your Garmin user profile.

Definition: A heart rate zone is a set range of heart beats per minute. The five commonly accepted heart rate zones by Garmin are numbered from 1 to 5 according to increasing intensity:
•	Zone 1 (Warm Up)
o	Perceived exertion: Relaxed, easy pace, rhythmic breathing.
o	Benefits: Beginning-level aerobic training, reduces stress.
•	Zone 2 (Easy)
o	Perceived exertion: Comfortable pace, slightly deeper breathing, conversation possible.
o	Benefits: Basic cardiovascular training, good recovery pace.
•	Zone 3 (Aerobic)
o	Perceived exertion: Moderate pace, more difficult to hold conversation.
o	Benefits: Improved aerobic capacity, optimal cardiovascular training.
•	Zone 4 (Threshold)
o	Perceived exertion: Fast pace and a bit uncomfortable, breathing forceful.
o	Benefits: Improved anaerobic capacity and threshold, improved speed.
•	Zone 5 (Maximum)
o	Perceived exertion: Sprinting pace, unsustainable for long period of time, labored breathing.
o	Benefits: Anaerobic and muscular endurance, increased power.
