Name: Audax Control Alert

This data field will work with Audax UK calendar and permanent cycling events that have been setup for E-Brevet.

Install the data field and add it to one of the data screens on your GPS, just like Heart Rate or Power (scroll to bottom for IQ data fields). In Connect IQ --- Device --- Data Fields --- Audax Control Alert on your paired phone; enter the event id same as you would for E-Brevet and save. When the data field has downloaded the brevet details you will hear a distinctive tune. You can go back into settings to check you've got the right event.

The data field will show you the distance to the next control on the event. This can be as the crow flies or it will use the E-Brevet control distances to calculate against your event ridden distance. The event ridden distance is set to zero when you first come within 100m of the start control. It shows as the crow flies till you reach the start control.

During the event the data field will play a distinctive tune when you first enter the E-Brevet proximity zone, this is where you can register as defined by the organiser at a control, then play it a second time when you are within 100 meters of the control. It will update to show the distance to the next control, once it believes you have left the current control.

Never miss an Audax UK control again! Note that it does not use the event GPX nor rely on it. The event must be set up for E-Brevet. If riding a permanent, you must customise the brevet and download that, if starting anywhere other than the default start.

Your paired phone needs to be nearby to download brevet details. You do not need the phone with you during events.
