Simple data field showing wind direction and speed relative to direction of movement. While stationary, wind direction is shown relative to compass heading.
Color of arrow indicates wind speed - green up to 3 m/s, orange up to 6 m/s, red above 6 m/s. Color of the arrow and the wind speed related to each color can be changed in data field options in Garmin Connect.
"N" character indicates north.

Speed of wind can be shown in meters per second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour, feets per seconds, knots or Beaufort scale. The metric can be changed in data field options in Garmin Connect.

Wind data is obtained from Garmin weather provided by a device. Data field itself does not require direct internet connection.
