The default is to countdown towards official sunset; however, you can use Garmin Connect Mobile app to change this to:

* Sunset (the official sunset)

* Dark (no light left)

To update the settings:

1. Goto Garmin Connect Mobile
2. Select 'Garmin Devices' and pick your device
3. Select 'Connect IQ Apps'
4. Select 'Data Fields'
5. Select 'Daylight Left'
6. Select 'Settings'
7. Set 'Countdown To' field to your choice.
